Junior team led by Faiq settle for bronze again after losing to China


Men's singles shuttler Mohd Faiq Masawi and his teammates settled for bronze again in the World Junior Championships.

PETALING JAYA: It was bronze again for the shuttlers in the mixed team event of the World Junior Championships.

The team led by Mohd Faiq Masawi in the men's singles went down 76-110 to defending champions and hosts China in the semi-final in Nanchang on Friday (Oct 4).

A year ago, China also denied Malaysia a place in the final.

China will take on either Indonesia or Japan for the title next on Saturday (Oct 5).
