DEBUTANT Ng Tze Yong and his coach Hendrawan won admiration from the badminton fraternity for their acts of kindness in helping opponent Samuel Ricketts get a new pair of shoes after the Jamaican's footwear gave way during Malaysia's mixed team match at the NEC on Friday (July 29).

The incident happened in the second game when the sole of Ricketts' shoe gave way and his coach handed over his pairs and another from a women's player. Both did not fit.
