KUALA LUMPUR: Rising women’s doubles pair Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah had their moment in the sun when they gave Malaysia the winning point in the quarter-finals of the Asia Team Championships against Taiwan.

Their victory in Manila earned Malaysia a coveted spot in the Uber Cup (May 16-24) in Aarhus, Denmark, and made them the heroines of the campaign.
