Dominant Chong Wei sets up semi-final date with Shi Yuqi


Amazing feat: China’s Shi Yuqi stunned compatriot Lin Dan 13-21, 21-17, 21-15 in the Hong Kong Open quarter-finals at the Hong Kong Coliseum in Kowloon yesterday.

PETALING JAYA: Old-timer Lee Chong Wei produced one of his best performances in the last three months to storm into the men’s singles semi-finals of the Hong Kong Open.

The 35-year-old needed 37 minutes to crush second seed Son Wan-ho of South Korea 21-11, 21-12 in the quarter-finals at the Hong Kong Coliseum in Kowloon yesterday.
