Goh Jin Wei now national No. 1 women singles player

PETALING JAYA: Former world junior champion Goh Jin Wei is now officially the national No. 1 women singles player.

In the world ranking released by Badminton World Federation (BWF) yesterday, the 16-year-old Jin Wei has overtaken the spot from Tee Jing Yi.

Thanks to a quarter-final finish at last week’s Macau Open, Jin Wei has moved five rungs to No. 32 in the world.

She is now ranked two rungs higher than her senior Jing Yi.
