KUALA LUMPUR: To wish for an Olympic star.
That’s top of Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) technical director Morten Frost’s wish list as he celebrated his 57th birthday yesterday.
“I wish to have a happy and healthy life.
“But it definitely goes without saying that I wish for a Malaysian who can bring home an Olympic gold medal,” said Frost, who celebrated his birthday with his daughter Josephine Zwicky Frost.
The legendary badminton player admitted that Malaysian badminton is at a low ebb now.
But with coaches’ contract issues resolved and targets for the players set, the Dane believes it’s only a matter of time before things start to pick up.
“It will take two or three years but for now things are up to expectations and as they should be,” said the Dane.
