Ex-BAM shuttler Jagdish wins doubles title in Melbourne

KUALA LUMPUR: Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) dropout Jagdish Singh is going great guns with his new club – Kawasaki Badminton Club. Jagdish and partner Roni Tan Wee Long, seeded fourth, won their first career international title when they upset second seed Raymond Tam-Glenn Warfe of Australia 21-14, 21-19 at the Victor Maribyrnong International in Melbourne, Australia.

Jagdish, who came through the Bukit Jalil Sports School (BJSS), was dropped from the national back-up squad last year and the Negri Sembilan lad decided to try his luck with Kawasaki this year.
