Azeem and Co post fastest time in NCAA en route to winning 4x100 gold in SEC

PETALING JAYA: National sprinter Mohd Azeem Fahmi wrapped up his final Southeastern Conference Championship (SEC) outing with a gold medal for Auburn University in the men’s 4x100m on Saturday (May 16). 

The quartet of Azeem, Kayinsola Ajayi, Austin Kresley, and Tyler Davis clocked a winning time of 38.07s, the fastest in the NCAA in the United States this year. 

It was a positive result for the 22-year-old, who was disappointed after missing a place in the final of the 100m event.

He finished third in the heat with a time of 10.31s. 

Louisiana State University came in second place with a time of 38.35s, while University of Tennessee took bronze with 38.51s.
