Shereen misses podium in Osaka, admits there’s more work to be done

PETALING JAYA: Shereen Samson Vallabouy managed to clock a season-best time of 54.11s in the women’s 400m at the Kinami Memorial Meet in Osaka yesterday but it was not enough to get her on the podium.

The 27-year-old Malaysian placed fifth with Japan’s Nanako Matsumo winning gold in 52.24s while Australia’s Mitchell Morgan claimed silver (52.27s) at the Yankee Stadium in Nagai. The bronze went to Japan’s Aoi Teramoto (53.23s).
