Middle-distance runner Umar falls short, but gains big in Tokyo test

PETALING JAYA: For Umar Osman, the World Championships in Tokyo was less about medals and more about maturity.

The 22-year-old national middle-distance runner bowed out in the heats of the men’s 400m yesterday, finishing eighth in his race with a time of 46.43 seconds.
