PETALING JAYA: Malay­sian runner Allison Yee (pic) fought through illness to stand on the podium and break her personal best result in the 5km category at the Asics Tokyo Speed Race over the weekend.

Making her debut in the 5km distance, Allison posted an impressive personal best of 20:09 that earned her third place, and she was elated.
