False start ... and sad ending for Ridzuan

PETALING JAYA: Ridzuan Puzi’s attempt to change his fortunes at the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou hit a brickwall as he was disqualified after a false start in the final of his pet event – the T36 100m – at the Huanglong Sports Centre Stadium yesterday.

It was Ridzuan’s last chance to claim a medal in Hangzhou and the 36-year-old came into the final with confidence after finishing second fastest during the heats on Thursday.
