Azeem and co qualify for 4x100m Asiad final


HANGZHOU: Malaysia have qualified for the 4x100m Asian Games final after finishing third in their heat at the Hangzhou Olympic Stadium on Monday (Oct 2).

The quartet of Khairul Hafiz Jantan, Arsyad Mohd Saat, Jonathan Nyepa and Mohd Azeem Fahmi finished with a time of 39.40s behind nations like China and South Korea.

China’s Cheng Guanfeng, Xie Xhenye, Yan Haibin and Chen Jiapeng finished first with a time of 38.62s, while South Korea’s Lee Jeong-tae, Kim Kuk-young, Lee Jae-seong and Park Woon-jin came in second with 38.75s.

The final will take place at the Hangzhou Olympic Stadium at 9.25pm tomorrow (Oct 3).
