Samoan challenge fires Zaimah's ambition

KUALA LUMPUR: Singapore SEA Games bronze medallist Zaimah Atifah Zainuddin was distraught after being left out of the World Youth Athletics championships in Cali, Colombia, last month – despite having qualified on merit.

So, you can imagine the 400m runner’s joy at being selected as four of the track and field athletes for the Commonwealth Youth Games in Samoa from Sept 5-13.
