A budget that helps us carry our responsibilities

I BELONG to what is often called the “sandwich generation” – those who have to balance the responsibilities of raising a family while caring for ageing parents.

This is why some of the measures announced in Budget 2027 caught my attention. I believe they are a recognition of the everyday struggles faced by millions of working Malaysians, particularly those of us who are simultaneously caring for two generations.
