WADAH (Movement for an Informed Society, Malaysia) takes note of the proposal for the government to consider a more structured approach in addressing the issue of refugees who are already in Malaysia, including the possibility of allowing eligible groups to participate in the labour market legally and under regulated conditions in certain sectors.

The proposal was reportedly aimed at reducing dependence on the recruitment of new foreign workers, while also helping to address labour shortages in specific sectors.
