Protecting children from respiratory tract infections

AS a paediatrician, I have witnessed firsthand the distress that respiratory tract infections can cause to infants and young children. Among the most common, and most concerning, is due to Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) infection.

Present all year round, RSV infections typically peak from September to December with cases often extending into January the following year.
