Contract completion isn’t accountability: Govt must explain Azam Baki issue


Questions loom as to whether the government intends to quietly close the controversy surrounding MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki simply by allowing his contract to lapse, without giving Malaysians any proper explanation.

Failing to renew a contract does not amount to justice, transparency or accountability. It merely creates the impression that the matter is being swept aside without resolving the serious allegations that have damaged public confidence.
