The power of a meaningful night

EACH year, during the last 10 nights of Ramadan, Muslims intensify worship in search of Lailatul Qadr – the “Night of Power” or “Night of Decree” believed to fall on one of those nights. It is believed to be a time when a single moment of sincere reflection can hold the value of a lifetime of effort. Beyond its religious meaning, this night offers a gentle reminder about teaching and learning and about life itself.

Education often celebrates visible achievements such as exam results, awards, and milestones. Yet the most meaningful transformations are often unseen: A student who finally grasps a difficult concept, a teacher who finds a new way to reach a struggling learner, such moments rarely make headlines, but they can shape a life in profound ways.
