THE speculation about building homes above or adjacent to transit stations are opportunities to test new planning hypotheses for the sake of a liveable Klang Valley, “Homes above train stations in sight” (Metro News, The Star, Sept 8). The plausibility of such homes have sparked interest among pro-transit communities as it embodies transit-oriented living.
To be successful, however, these homes must be built to advance transit-oriented living and not become a mask for profit with an attractive label.
