Focus on educating public about flag etiquette

THE recent incident involving a shopkeeper in Kepala Batas inadvertently displaying the national flag upside down outside his shop has sparked animated conversations across social media platforms.

It has been reported that the man is expected to face charges in court soon, “Shopkeeper to be charged soon over upside-down flag” (The Star, Aug 12). The ball is now in the Attorney General’s Chambers, and I hope the AG will decide not to press charges.
