I AM a Malaysian record holder for riding an electric bicycle to China’s border in just 39 days. Nevertheless, I think my beautiful Malaysia is the worst country for cycling.

Riding a bicycle should be a liberating, low-cost and eco- friendly way to travel but in this country, it can feel like the scariest legitimate mode of transport.
