Health insurance crisis needs structural reform

MEMBER of Parliament for Bayan Baru Sim Tze Tzin has stated that a report on medical insurance premium hikes will be tabled when Parliament reconvenes. I urge that the report present bold, long-term solutions, not just cosmetic remedies.

Thus far, the public debate has been clouded by a culture of treating symptoms instead of confronting the root causes. Ironically, even medical professionals trained to diagnose and treat underlying issues seem to have fallen into this trap.
