IT was reported in The Star on May 6 that “Thousands lack motor insurance”.

According to the VTAREC (Vehicle Theft and Accident Reduction Council of Malaysia) coordinator, based on a study of road accidents in 2023, out of 740,000 cases, only 40% filed insurance claims.
