AN emotional letter from a female Delhi judge to a child sexual abuse victim has gone viral in India, Makkal Osai reported.

The child was abused by her uncle in 2023 when she was seven years old.

During the hearing, the victim appealed to the court not to release the man from prison until she reached adulthood.

The court sentenced the man to life imprisonment and ordered him to pay 1.05 million rupees (RM44,500) as compensation to the victim.

Judge Rajani Ranga, one of the presiding judges, later penned a heartfelt letter.

In the letter, the judge told the girl that the man she had trusted and called her uncle would spend the rest of his life in prison.

She assured the girl that the perpetrator would not be released or be able to harm her or her younger sister.

The judge also praised the girl’s courage in identifying the perpetrator and testifying against him in court.

The judge also reminded the girl to live her life to the fullest without fear.
