THIS year is the 74th anniversary of the 22nd Amendment to the United States Constitution, ratified in 1951, that effectively limited to two the number of terms a US president may serve.
This year is also the 26th anniversary of Indonesia limiting its presidential term to two consecutive five-year periods. This was after Suharto was ousted from power amid mass protests.
