Taking responsibility for young traffic offenders


IN recent months, there have been a number of road crashes involving teenage drivers. Some were even found to be under the influence of drugs while driving.

The latest crash involving a teenage driver, who also did not have a valid driving licence, occurred on March 6 near the Matahari Heights traffic light junction at Jalan Persiaran Senawang 1, Negri Sembilan, resulting in the deaths of three teenagers. The driver allegedly ran a red light before crashing into the motorcyclists.
