Better ways to charge for parking

THE Malaysian Digital Economy Consumer Association (myDigitalConsumer) would like to propose a review of the current parking charges in the Klang Valley, with a view towards reducing illegal parking, alleviating severe traffic congestion, and improving the cost of living for consumers.

> We suggest standardising the pricing structure following local authority procedure that charges parking fees for every 15-minute interval instead of the hourly rates used by private operators and shopping malls.
