Why no news on Sabah labour law updates?

Labour loss: Sabahans moving out of state because of antiquated labour laws results in a lack of an educated and skilled population, meaning that jobs in the state will always be dominated by agriculture activities and low-wage positions. — Filepic/The Star

THE Society for Equality, Respect and Trust for All Sabah (Serata) is disappointed that there have not been any further updates to the Labour Ordinance (Sabah Chapter 67) despite the Nov 1, 2023, announcement that the Bill would be tabled during the March Parliament session.

Yesterday was the final day of the current parliamentary sitting, and there has been no news whatsoever on the promised amendments.
