Education director-general Azman Adnan was quoted as saying it would collaborate with the Health Ministry to ensure that the trend of students freely purchasing vape products can be addressed effectively.
Consumers’ Association of Penang (CAP) has been calling on the Education Ministry to introduce a new syllabus on the dangers of vape in primary and secondary schools, saying that the number of smokers and vapers in all levels of education was “alarming” after nicotine was removed from the Poisons Act last year.
