More effort needed to stop worker exploitation

AUTHORITIES recently conducted an operation in the “mini Dhaka” area of Kuala Lumpur, detaining 1,101 undocumented immigrants, and prompting concerns over the longstanding issue of employers exploiting vulnerable communities for profit.

This has been an enduring problem disproportionately affecting marginalised communities while unscrupulous employers continue to reap obscene profits.
