IN May this year, the World Health Organisation (WHO) declared an end to the Covid-19 pandemic, saying it was no longer a “public health emergency of international concern”.

In Malaysia, we started to transition to the endemic stage much earlier, opening our international borders in April 2022. Since then, public health restrictions associated with the pandemic have been gradually loosened, and life for us returned to the normalcy of the pre-pandemic period.
