I REFER to the StarSport article “Rexy downplays communication issue between Pearly and Thinaah” (The Star, Nov 25).

For many badminton fans, it was quite disconcerting to see women doubles pair Pearly Tan and M. Thinaah not communicating with each other during their first-round match against South Korea’s Jeong Na Eun–Kim Hye Jeong in the first round of the China Masters 2023 held at the Shenzhen Bay Gymnasium.
