SEVERAL years ago, I read an article titled “Let music serve the economy”. It was about a renowned orchestra conductor from the country then known as Yugoslavia who said there are similarities between the performance of orchestras and business organisations.

He said that for a performance to be successful, every member of the orchestra must have the passion to perform. They not only keep tempo with one another but also with their conductor who guides them on when and how fast and loud to play.
