Burdened by hike in price of pet food

I AM writing to express my concern about the recent hike in pet food prices in Malaysia. The hike is taking its toll on pet owners as well as animal rescuers, stray feeders and shelters that rely heavily on donations of pet food to feed the animals under their care.

The higher cost of pet food may well lead to an increase in the number of abandoned pets. As we all know, many owners in Malaysia do not prioritise the neutering of their pets. This is despite the clear benefits of neutering, including preventing unwanted litters.
