THE announcement by the Transport Minister regarding the end of Puspakom’s monopoly on vehicle inspection is great news, “No more Puspakom monopoly on vehicle inspections once concession ends, says Transport Minister” (The Star, March 24; online at https://bit.ly/3JIPU2i).
Being involved in the transport industry, I know many motorists and commercial vehicle owners and operators have been waiting for years for the government to infuse the industry with fair play and a competitive policy.
