Construct lay-bys on expressways

I WOULD like to thank lawyer Rajesh Nagarajan for drawing our attention to the various traffic offences that we as motorists may not be aware of, “What drivers assume to be ‘innocent acts’ are offences” (The Star, Aug 8; online at https://bit.ly/3zK92rV).

I am certain that most motorists are not aware of some of the offences that he pointed out, one of which was parking one’s vehicle on the side of the road in order to repair a flat tyre or check out other problems. Besides causing traffic jams, he said, it could also be dangerous for the driver and other road users.
