With scams on the rise, MCA Youth organises short film competition to raise awareness

SINCE the “Reject Syndicate” campaign was held on March 31, there have been many calls daily from across the nation asking for help, adding to over 100 cases, mostly about their relatives falling prey to human trafficking syndicate, said MCA National Youth chief Datuk Nicole Wong (pic).

Just on April 12, it was through the combined efforts of MCA Youth, the police and Wisma Putra, that 12 Malaysians were successfully rescued from syndicates and returned to Malaysia, while four more who were tested positive for Covid-19 will also be returning after completing quarantine.
