Tugu Negara needs to be properly maintained

I REFER to the article “Honouring our fallen heroes” (The Star, National Day Special 2021, Aug 31).

The article was indeed a good account of our beloved Tugu Negara, as it explained why and when the monument was built and also gave a clear description of the sculpture of the seven figures.
