Pensioner cannot get aid because he’s a shareholder

I REFER to the letter “Seeking help to claim for cash payout” (The Star, Aug 5). Like the writer, I was also declared as not eligible for BPR (Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat) even though I am a pensioner in the B40 group.

I used to receive Bantuan Rakyat 1Malaysia (BRIM). In 2019, BRIM was renamed Bantuan Sara Hidup (BSH). I did not receive the aid for 2019 and 2020 despite filing multiple appeals with the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN) office in Teluk Intan.
