IN AN Emir Research article titled “Testing for reopening – simultaneous containment and controlled reopening” (July 23), we had called for the regulatory incentive for reopening of (“non-essential”) sectors and sub-sectors conditioned on testing.

In turn, this article builds upon a preceding article that called for “Combining full and targeted lockdowns – in tandem” (July 15) for the (“essential”) industries (manufacturing and construction).
