Hold off on sharing until the message is verified

THE culture of forwarding/sharing messages on social media is endemic. It is not all bad, as some have good intentions and the messages they are sharing are useful.

But most tend to be trash. And we get repeats of the same trash from our “friends” – pictures/videos of food, preachy stuff, quotations, salutations, medical advice, jokes and etc. Many of the forwarded messages are of unknown origin, source or intention!
