I AM a human resource manager of a public listed company and have been in the field of human capital all my working life. It is my job to see that human capital resources are used at an optimum level in the organisation.
For example, if someone goes on annual or medical leave, the company has a system where the person’s responsibilities are handed over to another person. In our online leave application form, those who would be away from the company, whether for vacation, medical or other reasons, would need to state who would be taking over his or her responsibilities during their absence.
