Take vaccines to the people

UNCLE Hong, 68, came to my clinic for his vaccine. We discovered that he was registered at a mega vaccine centre 12km away from his house – but Uncle Hong had no means of transportation. He lives alone and has no relatives or friends to help.

Uncle Hong’s situation is not uncommon. Not long ago, an elderly woman came to my clinic to ask for help to get to a vaccination centre 15km away. “It’s not that I don’t want the jab, I don’t know how to get there, I can only cycle to this clinic.”
