THE letter “Law on race relations would help” by S. Sundareson (The Star, March 26) is most timely and relevant. His suggestion for a Race Relations Act has some merit. However, it has been said that “good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly while bad people will find a way around the laws”.
Perhaps, at a fundamental level, it is more about striving to change our society into one that is inclusive and tolerant.
