Dr McCoy is still going strong at 90

IN my column Reflecting on the Law that appeared yesterday, (online at bit.ly/star_nuke), there is an inadvertent and serious error in referring to Datuk Dr Ronald McCoy, co-president of the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War, as “the late Datuk Dr Ronald McCoy”.

I wish most sincerely to offer my apologies to Dr McCoy’s beloved family, especially his wife, as well as his many friends and countless admirers, of which I am one. The error appeared in the print version but has been corrected online.

I am happy to report that Dr McCoy is 90 years old and going strong and still committed to his noble goal of abolishing nuclear weapons. We wish him good health and long life so that he continues to enrich the lives of all who know him.
