Malaysian employers need to look beyond retrenchment


The Association for Community and Dialogue (Acid) is concerned by the warning issued by the Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF) that the country could see two million workers retrenched after Hari Raya.

While it is understandable that the economic times are not encouraging, it is unfortunate that business leaders in this country keep painting a gloomy picture of the economy rather than coming up with solutions that would ensure the nation rises to the occasion.
