Employers should pay for health screening

INTERNATIONAL Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Azmin Ali recently announced that employees of companies permitted to operate during the movement control order (MCO) period must undergo mandatory screening for Covid-19.

While we welcome the mandatory health screening, the cost must be borne by the companies concerned because the employees are taking risks in going to work during the MCO period for the benefit of their employers.
