Online learning the new normal in education

WHEN the movement control order (MCO) is finally lifted, educators will be faced with two realities - there will be a heightened sense of health precautions among families and communities, and, as a response to this, online learning will no longer be just a part of the education experience but will actively serve as the main means for institutions to ensure academic progress.

To do this sustainably and with the least disruptions to learning, the infrastructure to support students online is a key consideration. Recorded or live lessons are an important part of this process. For many institutions, however, due to the urgency to move online during the MCO, the present tools may only serve as a temporary measure.
