Water problems remain unsolved


I REFER to Azman Ujang’s views in “Give water the respect it deserves” in conjunction with World Water Day (March 22). I absolutely agree with him.

There was a water crisis in Melaka about 45 years ago. I remember this because I was living in the nine-storey flats at Jalan Bendahara back then. I remember vividly how we struggled to haul water up to our fifth floor unit.
